Feel young, aging is optional - 09 November

Emile Ratelband is a 69-year-old Dutchman, but he wants to stop being one. Not Dutch, but a 69-year-old man. And he has taken his petition to a local court in Arnhem (southeast of Amsterdam) for the institutions to allow it.

The reason? He feels discriminated against because of his age at the time of looking for work and feels that having so many years damages him in Tinder. As is.

"When I am 69 years old, I feel limited, if I am 49 I can buy a new house, drive a different car, I can have a job again," he explains to De Telegraaf.

"When I'm in Tinder and I say I'm 69, nobody answers me, when I'm 49, with the face I have, I'll be in a privileged position," he told the newspaper.

Ratelband, who has promised to give up his pension if he manages to change his age, is a professor of neurolinguistic programming and famous in his country for appearing in the media. He gives motivational talks and has put voice in the dubbing of Pixar films.

The arguments he gives to change his age (something that the courts see with skepticism, according to the BBC) are totally crazy: he argues that if transsexuals can change their name and gender, he should be able to change the date of birth.

And besides, he adds, his doctors consider that he has the body of a 45-year-old man. He comes to describe himself as a "young god."
